9-11 Number 2 by GodIsAFake 9-11 Number 2 by GodIsAFake
Made another because of a request.

Description from other stamp:
Seriously. It happened over 10 years ago. It's in the past now and it should be pushed to the side so other matters can come to the front instead. Yet we seem to remain stuck on that day, not moving anywhere.

There are a lot of things we shouldn't forget. Hurricane Katrina, the earthquake in Hati... This is one of those things. INNOCENT people DIED. You're not showing you want to move forward. You're showing that you're a jerk who cares nothing for peoples lives.

I respect your feelings, but this kind of crosses an invisible line...

It's one thing to wish that we could look to the future instead of dwelling in the past, especially one so dark, but it's a completely different matter when you say, "I Don't Care".
You don't care that thousands of people lost their lives?  You don't care that it happened again several years later, in Benghazi?

Thousands of American troops lose their lives every day. Where is their memorial?

There's one in Maryland.  There's the WWII and Vietnam memorials.  Arlington Cemetery.  There's even one in my area that honors those who died that were locals.  There are troop memorials everywhere.

I really can't stand when people care so much about this attack than the other attacks they have.
I try telling people that and they say:  Oh, you're still on that stupid stuff? Get over it. -_-

All of those things that you have mentioned are not important as 9/11. I only know about Hurricane Sandy, Pearl Harbor, Hurricane Katrina and the San Francisco Earthquake. The other things that I don't know, is what I believe is not important to America.

So if more people than the 3,000 in 9/11 died somewhere else, it wouldn't matter?
Well, shet.

It's "arguments" like this that get me pissed off at my county.
Also I see you commenting on almost every single 9/11 stamp in this group but no other seemingly offensive stamps.

So basically, my arguments is pissing you off. Clearly, I don't know why you are involved in the other comments that these people think that 9/11 is not godawful.

No, making me pissed off at some of the people in my country.
Yes, it was a sad event and there were innocent lives killed, but its simple:

Things happen.
Some worse than others.
People die everyday.
Some in worse ways than others.

Yet people can't mourn over every death that happens in the world about... ehh, every thousand deaths each day or so? Probably more.

And speaking of, we need to take a cue from the Germans - they made it illegal to say the Holocaust didn't happen. We need to make it illegal to say anything negative or derogatory about the people who died in the towers and the Pentagon.

remembering dead people doesn't mean you have to cancel appointments and stop everything you're doing, and it doesn't mean you're "stuck in the past". it means you acknowledge that people died.

I don't get why people still bitch and moan about it when innocent people are murdered, raped tortured, framed, and even kill themselves every single day?

But then these same people die all at once in the world trade center and it's like these things have never fucking happened before.

/THAT'S/ why I am sick and tired of hearing about 9/11. People can't forget about 9/11 and make up a 'holiday' for it. So why isn't every fucking day a holiday for the people who die horrible deaths every day?

Yeah, exactly.

Wow you're ignorant.
It's because of something of that scale happened. It's not exactly a 'holiday', but more of a day to take a moment of your busy day and remember the tragedy.
It's something like Remembrance Day, unless you're saying we just stop with that day too. I mean, lots of people die in the war every day, so why should we stop to remember the veterans that were in it? Or you might as well ignore things like The Butterfly Project because remember, people self-harm and commit suicide every day.
Just because you're a heartless bastard doesn't mean the rest of us have to be. With that comment, I'm assuming you're somewhere around the age of 13-16 going through an "I'm so Edgy" phase.

And before you say that I'm some over-Patriotic American, I'm Canadian. I didn't even know anyone who had any sort of involvement -whether they were in the towers themselves or were in the area- with the incident.
Most Americans may not care about tragedies that happen elsewhere, but two wrongs don't make a right.

TL;DR VERSION: Shut up you're not cool or edgy or different for not caring.

I don't do anything to look 'KEWL' or 'SPESHUL'. Like what the fuck I don't even- I can't even comprehend- ok just. Ok.

I still don't see how that makes someone ignorant. And I called it 'HOLIDAY' with you know '''''''''''''s for a reason.

I expected people to call me heartless, tbh. I know it's something of a large scale, but it still doesn't change how other people are still dying in other ways, other places.

And actually, I do care. I know it's sad that innocent people die period in any kind of way, but I mean still, death is death. There's just no way around it. There was nothing they could do.

I mean, it's just my opinion. I never said I didn't care, because I do. It's different if you lost someone there, I know. But I honestly think things should be held onto to a point.

You sure as hell made it sound like you didn't.

People want to take this day to remember, why is this such a bad thing? It hasn't even been 20 years since the original date. It's hardly holding on -yet-.
It's not as if every damn day people are saying "REMEMBER 9/11!!" or anything. It's one day out of the entire year.

It's not even a holiday -or at least here it isn't-. I don't know if people get the day off in America, so maybe it is. But as far as I know, nobody gets the day off, so it's not really a holiday.

Nobody says you have to go out and light 800 candles to show you care, even just acknowledgment will do.

But to be fair with you, your statement wasn't the most enraging thing I've seen on this subject; far from it honestly.

I honestly have a hard time putting how I feel into words and have to explain like five times over, so... Yeah.

I mean it's not a holiday but I don't know what else I would call it. A holiday doesn't necessarily mean you have to get the day off, though. Idk.

I just don't like being reminded of things that really anger or sadden me. Whenever something goes too far I usually say I don't want to talk about it anymore because I feel that it's unnecessary to go through all that stress when I could avoid it.

But yeah some people want people to be pissed and start shit on really sensitive topics. I don't really do that unless someone has like the complete opposite opinion from me or something and flips their shit.
